Grant Thornton was entrusted by the owners of Arrowhead to assist in the minority sale to Tencent, a multinational technology conglomerate known for its presence in social media, gaming, and digital services. The transaction was completed in July 2024.

Arrowhead is a Swedish video game developer founded in 2008, renowned for creating engaging cooperative multiplayer experiences. The studio is best known for titles such as Magicka, Gauntlet, and the recently acclaimed Helldivers series. Helldivers 2 emerged as one of the most successful games globally in 2024.
